What is being said about Southview
Beth WestjohnOur boys grew up in the Catholic school system for grades K through 8th. Two years ago we made the decision to have them attend high school in our public school district in Sylvania. When we were making our decision among three Catholic high schools and two public schools (Southview and Northview), we found all of them to have the academic opportunities we were looking for, but we just kept coming back to Southview because the team (administrators, teachers, staff) just had something special going on that we couldn’t resist. We have been SO pleased with our decision and now consider it the best possible choice for our two boys. We are watching them thrive at Southview academically and socially; and we are pleased with the strong administrative leadership, first class teaching staff and coaches, and challenging opportunities our boys are experiencing. GO COUGARS!

Chris AwlsSouthview is a great place. Depending on your area of interests or needs.....Southview has something for everyone. The one area that is of great importance to me is providing extra help for students struggling to be successful. Southview offers many options for academic support if a student is struggling. Many teachers are available before and after school but beyond that is the extra help offered during the day. Students have the opportunity to go to the Media Center with teacher supervision and make up missing work. We also offer a Math and Writing lab monitored by Math and English teachers throughout the day. If your son or daughter is struggling, we will find the right support to help them be successful. The past couple of years have been very challenging academically and emotionally for everyone involved. The staff at Southview truly care about your children and want them to have the best experience while in high school. We strive to have all of our students feel part of our Cougar family.

Sara Badiuk ImageWhen you walk into the doors of Southview it is quickly apparent that you are part of something more than a school; you are part of a family. What makes Southview unique is more than it's academic rigor, it is the fact that you are in a safe place where people truly care about one another. It is a place where we help one another become better versions of ourselves every single day. There is no place I would rather work, because for me, this is home.

Cindy O'BrienWhen I first walked into the doors of Southview I felt a sense of belonging. The teachers, staff and students are always willing to lend a helping hand. The teachers each display an incredible enthusiasm for their content area which in turn catches on to their students. Students are engaged in rigorous academic work and are encocourgared to learn in a way that is best for them while also building memories that are an integral part of what it means to be a cougar. I am fortunate to be part of the cougar family and simply could not picture teaching anywhere else. Go Cougars!
